It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but if you don’t take care of your teeth it can quickly turn into a dental disaster! Here are our top tips for keeping your pearly whites healthy this holiday season.
First and foremost, remember to brush twice a day, especially after eating all those delicious Christmas treats. Every time you snack on something sweet it increases the risk of cavities and tooth decay. And while candy cane mints may seem like a good idea, they won’t do much to protect your teeth so make sure you give them a thorough brushing afterwards.
Another important tip is to cut down on sugary drinks like egg nog and hot cocoa. Instead, opt for water-based beverages like tea or sparkling water.
Don’t forget to floss! We know it can be a tedious task but it’s an essential part of good oral health. So make sure you set aside time each evening to get the job done.
Should you brush your teeth right after eating?
