Dr. Halim Sbenati, Cosmetic and Family Dentist

Halim Sbenati, BSc (Hon), DDS

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Montreal and then Ottawa, where I developed life long friends that I still keep in touch with to this day.

My youth was filled with sports, video games, family and friend activities. I love dancing, when I was super young I used to sneak out of the house to go dancing without my parents knowing….they still don’t know lol (well, now, they will)

Then we moved to London where I went to University of Western for the my undergrad in Biology and then my friend and I decided to go to Australia at the University of Sydney School of Dentistry to pursue our dreams of becoming dentists while being close to the coast! (I’m very much a beach kind of guy)

Why dentistry?

I consider myself an artist but I also love helping people and that’s where the business aspect came in. I see business as I way to help others realize their dreams.  Dentistry to me isn’t just a career, it’s a calling to be able to change people’s lives.  Wether its through education or through smile transformation - whatever it is, I am invested in people and to see them become into the vision that they had always wished is something I can’t explain in terms of how happy I get.

Why Sbenati Dentistry?

I have always been fascinated by how much the dental visit strikes fear in people’s minds - the level of anxiety that people experience is incredible. I want to change all of that. I have a vision where people would come to the dentist and really not know that they were at a dental office. I want people to experience service like they’ve never experienced before. That’s why we developed the World Class Dental Service - which means we pay very close attention to the needs and comfort of everyone who walked through the doors. From the moment you walk in, you will realize you’re not just another patient, you are a person who deserves respect, transparency and extraordinary care. And I want that to become the standard to which patients expect at each dentist visit.

What Do you Do outside of dentistry?

I love reading, been to the gym a few times ;), love spending time with family and friends, scenic walks really do it for me.
